Medchal Malkajgiri Bureau: In a significant push toward sustainable urban water management, Quthbullapur Zonal Commissioner Parmar Pinkeshkumar Lalitkumar inaugurated newly deployed treated green water tankers at the Vennelagadda Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) on Monday.
The initiative aims to bolster water recycling, optimize resource conservation, and strengthen municipal climate resilience across the zone. The treated wastewater transported by these dedicated tankers will be reused for avenue plantations, urban forestry maintenance, and non-potable civic purposes to minimize reliance on fresh groundwater reserves. The Deputy Commissioner, Chief General Manager (CGM), Deputy General Manager (DGM), General Manager (GM), Urban Biodiversity Deputy Director, and field officers attended the flagging-off ceremony, reaffirming their collective commitment to building an eco-friendly urban ecosystem.
