NEW DELHI, October 28: BJP national president Nitin Nabin led a foot march in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk on Wednesday under the slogan “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy”, with party leaders and supporters rallying behind the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and criticising the Opposition’s campaign against the Election Commission.
The march was joined by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra, Members of Parliament and other senior party leaders. The procession began near Shri Jain Lal Mandir and Gauri Shankar Mandir in the vicinity of the Red Fort and proceeded towards Town Hall Chowk in Chandni Chowk.
Large number of party workers and supporters participated in the march, carrying the national flag and party flags, displaying placards and raising slogans in support of the electoral roll revision exercise.

Addressing participants, Nabin said democracy was secure under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He defended the revision of electoral rolls, arguing that it was necessary to include all eligible citizens and remove the names of alleged infiltrators. He also criticised the Opposition’s campaign against the Election Commission, alleging that it stemmed from political frustration rather than genuine concern for democratic institutions.
The Chandni Chowk march forms part of the BJP’s nationwide ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ campaign, launched to counter Opposition allegations concerning the SIR exercise. The party has announced a wider outreach programme involving foot marches and activities led by senior leaders and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states.
The march comes amid an intensifying political confrontation over electoral rolls, with the BJP defending the revision exercise and Opposition parties raising concerns about alleged irregularities in the electoral process.
