CISF Personnel and Families Troubled by Garbage Dumping Near Quarters
BHEL: The closure of certain gates connecting Old MIG with BHEL Ramachandrapuram Unit for several months due to security reasons had caused considerable hardship and inconvenience to residents of Tellapur, Nallagandla, New MIG and Old MIG. During that period, residents repeatedly submitted representations to the Executive Director (ED), General Managers (GMs) and Assistant General Managers (AGMs), requesting the reopening of the gates to restore convenient access.
However, following the reopening of the gates, the accumulation of garbage in the surrounding areas has reportedly become a matter of concern. Some officials have expressed disappointment over the irresponsible behaviour of people who, despite benefiting from the reopened access, are allegedly dumping waste along the roads and creating unhygienic conditions.
Residents who frequently raise concerns over garbage accumulation on roads are also being questioned about their own responsibility in maintaining cleanliness. “If people themselves dump garbage on roads and pollute their surroundings, whom should we hold responsible when complaints are raised about poor sanitation?” some officials reportedly questioned.
While the reopening of the gates has brought much-needed relief to thousands of commuters, maintaining cleanliness in the surrounding areas remains a shared responsibility. Residents are urged to avoid dumping waste indiscriminately and cooperate with sanitation staff to keep the locality clean and hygienic.
Foul Smell and Flying Waste Posing Problems for Residents of CISF:
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and their family members residing in the quarters located along the road from BHEL to Keerthi Mahal are facing severe inconvenience due to garbage dumping in the surrounding area.
According to the CISF personnel, people passing along the road frequently dump garbage near their residential quarters. The accumulated waste is causing an unbearable foul smell, while plastic covers and other garbage are carried by the wind into the premises of their homes.
The personnel and their families expressed concern over the unhygienic conditions and said that the situation was causing considerable discomfort in their daily lives. They appealed to the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to prevent garbage dumping along the roadside and ensure regular cleaning of the area.
