Asifabad: District Collector K. Haritha directed officials to take necessary measures to ensure an uninterrupted daily drinking water supply to all villages across the district.
A review meeting on drinking water supply was held with Panchayat Raj, Mission Bhagiratha and Intra Grid officials at the Collector’s chamber in the Integrated District Collectorate Complex in Asifabad.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector instructed officials to ensure drinking water supply to every village and take preventive measures to avoid any shortages. She directed officials to conduct a special drive from November 16 to December 31 to inspect all borewells, single-phase motors, overhead water tanks and grid pipelines. Any repairs required should be taken up immediately.
She further instructed officials to work in coordination and take urgent measures on a war footing to prevent drinking water problems anywhere in the district.
District Panchayat Officer Bikshapathi, Mission Bhagiratha Executive Engineer Rakesh, Intra Grid Executive Engineer M.A. Siddiqui and others attended the meeting.
