Muhurat Trading on Sunday
The NSE and BSE will conduct the special Muhurat Trading session on Sunday, November 8, on the occasion of Diwali Laxmi Pujan. The main trading session will run from 2.20 pm to 3.30 pm, preceded by a pre-opening session from 2.05 pm to 2.20 pm.
The special session marks the beginning of Samvat 2083, the Hindu financial year. Muhurat Trading is traditionally considered an auspicious occasion for investors to begin new investments.
Market experts generally advise investors to look beyond festive sentiment and assess company earnings, valuations, financial strength, corporate governance and long-term business prospects before making investment decisions. Diversification and alignment with individual financial goals also remain important.
As the markets prepare for the new Samvat, banking stocks and established large-cap companies are among the prominent names featuring in investor conversations.
