As per the directions of the Telangana State Finance Department, a one-day special training programme for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) from various government departments in Nagarkurnool district was conducted on Wednesday at the main conference hall of the Nagarkurnool District Collectorate. The training focused on the implementation of e-Sanction, e-HRMS and Works Accounts Management Information System (WAMIS). The programme was conducted under the supervision of District Treasury Officer M.A. Rasheed and Pay and Accounts Officer Lakshmana Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, District Treasury Officer M.A. Rasheed stated that the primary objective of IFMIS was to integrate administrative processes in government departments with technology and ensure transparency at every stage. He advised officials to effectively utilise the new digital systems introduced by the Telangana government and develop a thorough understanding of their functioning and operational procedures.

Through e-HRMS, details relating to government employees’ service records and other service matters can be maintained digitally. Similarly, the Works Accounts Management Information System (WAMIS) facilitates the systematic management of financial and accounting transactions related to government works.
As part of the training, officials were briefed on the use of the respective software systems, online operational procedures, responsibilities of DDOs, precautions to be taken while entering relevant information and implementation of government guidelines. They were also provided guidance on addressing doubts, technical difficulties and other challenges that may arise while implementing the new digital systems.
He pointed out that DDOs play a crucial role in managing government financial transactions and urged every officer to acquire adequate knowledge of the new systems and ensure their effective implementation in their respective offices. He said that applying the knowledge gained through the training in their day-to-day duties would help reduce administrative delays and improve overall efficiency.
He further stated that the training sessions had been conducted by the 6th of this month as part of the phased training programme for district- and mandal-level officers and DDOs, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the State Government.
DDOs from all government departments across the district attended the training programme and gained awareness of the new digital systems.
Officials stressed that officers from every department must act responsibly to ensure the successful implementation of the digital reforms introduced by the government and effectively utilise the new services made available through IFMIS.
