Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl, Guda Rohitha, who was declared brain-dead following a road accident at Balanagar, gave a new lease of life to six people through organ donation.
Rohitha, a student of a government school in Kukatpally, sustained severe injuries in the accident and was declared brain-dead. Showing immense generosity, her family members consented to donate her organs, helping save six lives.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar praised the family’s noble decision and described the young girl’s organ donation as an inspiring act of humanity. He said that although Rohitha was no longer alive, she would continue to live through the six recipients whose lives were saved by her donation. He lauded her family for setting an inspiring example for society.
