US-based financial markets technology company Pico Technology on Friday inaugurated its first office in India at Hyderabad’s Financial District, marking its entry into the country’s growing financial technology and digital services market.
Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce D. Sridhar Babu and Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy inaugurated the facility in the presence of Pico Technology Founder and CEO Jarrod Yuster.
Headquartered in New York, Pico Technology provides low-latency connectivity, market data, trading infrastructure, software and analytics services to financial institutions, including banks, stock exchanges, asset managers, hedge funds and fintech companies.
Founded in 2009, the company operates across more than 30 countries, with a presence in over 55 data centres worldwide. Its Hyderabad office will serve as the base for its India operations.
The ministers said the company’s entry would strengthen Hyderabad’s technology ecosystem, attract further international investment and create high-skilled employment opportunities for local talent. They reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting the expansion of IT, financial technology and Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
The inauguration follows discussions between the company’s leadership team, including Yuster, India CEO Hari Kothandaraman and Director Seetharam, and state ministers on establishing operations in Hyderabad.
Pico’s decision to set up its first Indian office in Hyderabad adds to the city’s growing presence in financial markets technology and advanced digital services.
