Special Deworming Medicine Distribution Drive to Protect Livestock Health Across Mahabubnagar District from November 2 to 7

MAHABUBNAGAR : District Animal Husbandry Officer Shivananda Swamy announced that a special deworming medicine distribution programme will be conducted across Mahabubnagar district from November 2 to 7, with the objective of protecting livestock health and promoting the development of the animal husbandry sector. As part of the programme, District Animal Husbandry Officer Shivananda Swamy distributed deworming medicines to livestock on Monday at Polkampally village in Moosapet mandal. Speaking on the occasion, he explained that worm infestations adversely affect the health of livestock and can lead to reduced milk production, stunted growth and a decreased ability to absorb essential nutrients. He stated that administering deworming medicines regularly would help keep livestock healthy while also providing economic benefits to farmers and cattle rearers. He advised livestock owners to administer the medicines in the prescribed dosage and strictly follow the instructions of veterinary staff to ensure the well-being of their animals. He further stated that the programme would be conducted in all villages across the district for one week. The District Animal Husbandry Officer appealed to livestock owners to make effective use of this initiative by ensuring that their animals receive deworming medicines and thereby contribute to protecting and improving livestock health. Sarpanch Venkateshwari and others participated in the programme.
