Congress Leaders File Complaint with SP Sunitha Reddy
Wanaparthy: On Thursday, Congress leaders submitted a written complaint to Wanaparthy Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunitha Reddy, demanding legal action against former Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy. The complaint pertains to remarks made by the former Minister—in the presence of the District SP—in which he threatened to attack Congress members using footwear, accompanied by a mob of 1,000 people. The Congress leaders argued that, despite having held a position of significant responsibility, the former Minister showed a blatant disregard for the law, implying that he need not fear legal consequences. They urged the SP to take suo motu action, noting that his inflammatory language—aimed at inciting the public, the youth, and political party cadres—could lead to unrest and violence. They emphasized to the SP that individuals who make statements that disrupt law and order should not be tolerated, as they pose a danger to society. Those present on the occasion included Wanaparthy Municipal Chairperson Madhavi Ramesh, Vice-Chairman Madhusudan Goud, Town President Kadire Ramulu, District General Secretary Brahmachari, Official Spokesperson Kolla Venkatesh, and Councilors Parashuramulu, Kranthi Goud, Raju Yadav, Nandipeta Thirupathaiah, and Bhanu, among others.
