Bike Rally Held in Wanaparthy to Honor the Services of Martyrs
District SP Sunitha Reddy
Wanaparthy: District SP D. Sunitha Reddy (IPS) stated that police personnel carry out their duties with the primary objective of protecting society and ensuring the safety of the public. As part of the ‘Police Martyrs Remembrance Week,’ the district police department organized a bike rally on Saturday in Wanaparthy town, spanning from the District Police Office to the KDR Polytechnic college. Speaking on the occasion, the SP noted that in the line of duty—while safeguarding democracy and ensuring public safety—police personnel are sometimes called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice.
She emphasized that police officers are always at the forefront of protecting the public, even when faced with life-threatening situations. Just as soldiers guard the nation’s borders, police personnel work tirelessly to ensure the safety of the public within society. She highlighted that even in the most perilous circumstances, police officers stand as a protective shield for the people, disregarding the risks to their own lives. She further urged the public to extend their support to the families of those police martyrs who laid down their lives while performing their duties. The event was attended by Additional SP (District Armed Reserve) Veera Reddy, Vanaparthi DSP Giri Babu, DCRB DSP Balaji Naik, District Police Office AO Sunanda, Vanaparthi CI Sugandha Ratnam, Kothakota CI Ramesh, Atmakur CI Shiva Kumar, Special Branch CI Naresh, Reserve Inspectors Appala Naidu and Srinivas, as well as various Sub-Inspectors, police personnel, and others.
